Rick Beecroft’s 30-year career in film and television has taken him all over the world.
He has worked on feature films, major tele-movies and documentaries in Canada, UK, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Cambodia, Malaysia, China, Vietnam and Singapore; and on German, Italian and Indian productions.
Some of his film credits include unINDIAN, All About E, The Last Reel, Wolf Creek, Lucky Miles, Broken Hill, Hafen der Düfte, Das Tiger-Team Der Berg Der 1000 Drachen, Ovunque tu sia (Wherever You Are); Bollywood films Love Story 2050, Heyy Babyy and Victory; and the dramatised documentary Forbidden Lie$.
His television credits include episodes of McLeod’s Daughters, the documentary series Deadly Women and Behind Mansion Walls, and the Snowtown Murders episode of Crimes that Shook the World, the documentary series narrated by Tim Pigott-Smith.
His resume also features a raft of television commercials for everything from prestige cars and beverages to consumer goods, tourism and safety campaigns.
As anyone who works in screen production will attest, the role of 1st AD is a pivotal one. In an industry where time is money, this job is very important to the smooth running of the shoot.
Rick has well-earned his reputation as an accomplished ‘first’.
