2020 Piracy. You’re Exposed

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN: Creative Content Australia’s 2020 consumer campaign ‘Piracy. You’re Exposed’ highlights the risks that users unknowingly take when they visit pirate websites. In Australia, 62% of persistent pirates have experienced cyber security breaches after accessing pirated content, making them a victim of their own crime. For teenagers, this figure climbs to 75%.

Malware has become big business for pirate websites with one in three now exposing users to malicious software1 that can steal personal data such as email addresses, bank details, credit cards, passwords, photos and videos, and facilitate identity theft.
